My name is Steven Baez. I am a Latin American songwriter born in The Bronx, New York—the birthplace of hip-hop. Early on, family changes moved me between coasts and different schools, eventually landing me in Las Vegas, where I discovered my voice in middle school.
At 16, a close friend introduced me to lyric writing, connecting me deeply to my hip-hop roots. By 17, I recorded my first demo. One track stood out surprisingly strong, lighting a fuse within me and sparking an obsession with creating something real.
That space of healing is where the vision for NOW OR NEVER was born. Older, wiser, and clearer, I spent two to three years writing and recording. Out of 20 tracks, I finalized an 11-song debut LP, alongside three bonus tracks.
After years of searching, healing, and rebuilding, I am finally stepping into who I was always meant to be. This is my moment.
“I create music for the broken, the hopeful, and the evolving. My purpose is to transform pain into power and stories into healing. This isn’t entertainment — this is soul work. It’s Now or Never.”
— Steven Baez
